A Day at the ZOO!!!

On Thursday we went to the zoo together! I couldn't remember the last time I went and Aaron hadn't been since he was a teenager so it was exciting for all 3 of us! A little while ago I bought this cute little giraffe print t-shirt for Berkley to wear when she went to the zoo for the first time. I was so excited for her to wear it!

I bought a season pass so we will be making more trips to the zoo for sure!

Berkley was super happy, probably because she was outside and mommy and daddy were both with her! She seriously loves spending time with her daddy!

Berkley hid in a cave!

She didn't love poking her head up in the skunk window...okay, she HATED it!

These little tiny monkeys were probably my personal favorite! They were so cute and little and ORANGE!

Look how cute that little thing is!

Looking at the monkeys outside!

Our baby monkey! She's the cutest monkey at the zoo without a doubt!

The elephants were another favorite! The baby was so cute!

Berkley loved hanging out in her stroller!

It was a really hot day so we decided to get some ice cream cones. Berkley decided that she needed some ice cream too! At one point she actually grabbed my cone and shoved it into her mouth, getting ice cream all over her hand! That's why I'm holding her hand down in this picture!

Lounging! I love when she does this!

I think the hat is a little big!

She loved sitting on daddy's shoulders!

As we were going to look at the last little bit of the zoo, Berkley crashed! She was so cute sleeping in her stroller!

The giraffes were another favorite!

Those long necks are so intriguing!

As we were shopping for a souvenir for Berkley, she woke up! We found this super cute little book which is perfect because she LOVES books (I think her excited grin shows how much she liked the souvenir!)!

It was an awesome day for all of us and we can't wait to go again!

Lindsey!

On June 28th we had the privilege to go visit my friend, Lindsey! She has been through an awful lot over the past 11 years and she is a constant miracle and an awesome example to everyone around her! She is such a strong person and a fighter! I have never seen anybody fight cancer like she does! I love her so much and am so thankful for her friendship! We first became friends when we were just 10 years old! I have known her through all of her struggles with brain tumors and I am convinced now more than ever before that Heavenly Father is capable of doing anything! She was given weeks to live 5 months ago and she is still hanging on! Please check out her story and donate for her health care if you can! Visit forlindsey.blogspot.com and livingthroughlaughter.com!

Keep fighting Lindsey! We love you!

6 Months Old! Really?!

Berkley is 6 months old! I honestly never thought this would happen! It seemed like 6 months would take forever...then I blinked and 6 months had passed by the time I opened my eyes! Seriously! I really need to start planning her party for her 1st birthday because I'm sure it will be here in no time! Because she turned 6 months old on Sunday and Monday was a holiday, we didn't have her 6 month appointment until Tuesday the 5th.

Berkley is such an awesome baby and we are reminded of this every time she gets shots. She only cries for a few seconds and then she's good to go! I love it!!! She's growing up! She weighs 15 lbs 7.5 oz (45th percentile), is 26.5 inches tall (75th percentile), and has a head circumference of 42 cm (40th percentile)! She hasn't gained a ton of weight in the past 2 months, but she is so active so the doctor said she's fine! She literally is doing EVERYTHING she should be developmentally! We are so happy to have such a healthy and strong baby!

She still thinks her feet are yummy by the way!

Happy to Be Free!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! On Saturday we went to a BBQ with some friends and just kicked back and relaxed! It was so much fun! While we were there, Berkley decided that she's ready to sit up by herself. It was seriously out of nowhere! It was so cute though!

On Sunday, Berkley turned 6 months old! We celebrated by painting her toenails for the first time and doing fireworks after family dinner. I LOVE her cute little toes!

Modeling her cute outfit from her Aunt Cherie and her cute red toenails!

Sitting up like a big girl!

It was so fun to do fireworks on Sunday! Berkley was intrigued and was cooing like crazy...then she suddenly crashed! She seriously just bent over and went to sleep! It was adorable!

Even with the noisy fireworks I was able to sit her up and she didn't even flinch! I guess it's exhausting to be 6 months old!

On the 4th we went to the Cherry Days parade with our friends, Nate and Josie (it was Josie's birthday so I made sure to wish her a Happy Birthday before a Happy 4th...go me!), and my mom and brothers. It was kind of a lame parade but it was still fun!

Berkley with my mom! Such a little ham!

Berkley ended up falling asleep during the parade but she woke up for the fun kids corner activities!

Munching on the otterpop she got from the kids corner!

Hanging out with daddy and checking out the cute rattle wristband she got from going fishing!

Hanging out in the stroller at the mall...totally lounging! We thought it was so cute that she stuck her foot up and her arms out on the armrests! What a cute little firecracker!

Sadly, I failed to think of using sunscreen because it was so cloudy for the parade and Berkley got burned! I almost cried because I felt so bad! Apparently she didn't care too much! I love how happy she is!

We went to a BBQ with some friends on the 4th and watched fireworks in Layton. It was awesome! We had a great 4th of July and I feel blessed that I was brought to the realization that because we are a free country we are free to worship how we want. I can't imagine not being allowed to worship our Heavenly Father and I am so thankful for those who sacrificed so much to make freedom possible for this beautiful country! I am PROUD to be an AMERICAN!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon!

Before Transformers 3 came out we made plans with a few friends to go to the midnight showing. We made plans for my mom to come up and babysit for us and everything. I decided to surprise Aaron and enter to win tickets and a gift pack to see it on Monday at 7 PM at the Gateway theater and he won! So we saw the movie before pretty much everyone else! Aaron's mom and dad watched Berkley for us (it was our first movie without her since she was born!) and the movie was fantastic! A big surprise for both of us was that we got to see the movie in 3D! It was so cool!

The next night (Tuesday night), my mom and brothers came up and we got to go see it again! It was such a fun treat! We sure did miss our baby girl though! I know it's hard to see but her shirt says "What happens at grandma's stays at grandma's"! I thought it was totally appropriate and super cute!

Berkley Becoming a Big Girl!

Ever since Berkley was born she has slept in her room...up until she was 5.5 months old. That was a sad night for me. She does pretty well in her crib though. We haven't worked on her sleeping habits strictly but she will sleep for about 4-5 hours in her crib before she wakes up and freaks out. I just bring her to bed with me when that happens (which is fine with me cause I miss her so much when she's in her crib!) and put her back to sleep! We will keep working on the crib thing but I am fine with how things are for now!

Looking so cute in her crib the first night she slept in there! I literally checked on her at least 3 times before finally making it to bed. I missed my little snuggle bug!

Father's Day!

I love this picture! Berkley is just so excited to give Aaron his present for Father's Day! She gave him some adorable cuff links that say "I Love Daddy" and a personalized case that has an engraving on it saying "For My Daddy...Love Berkley"! Aaron absolutely loved the gift! We also gave him a personalized card with cute pictures of Berkley on it and a couple CDs and Otterpops!

As good as the day turned out for Aaron, I still wish it could have been even better. After all, he does deserve the best since he is the best!

This cute girl is so lucky to have him for a daddy and I am so lucky to have him for a hubby!
