Lindsey...such a BEAUTIFUL person! I miss you!

A month ago today one of the most amazing people I will ever know moved on into the next life. Lindsey was always such an awesome example and friend to me. She moved in when we wee going into 5th grade and we were all friends from then on. She always had a smile on her face and hardly ever got mad. I honestly don't ever remember fighting with her. I miss her like crazy but I am so thankful that she will NEVER suffer from another tumor again. My heart aches for all of her family and friends, especially her husband, Josh. I am thankful that we will be together again someday because I couldn't have an eternity of birthdays without her singing to me! If she's ever called you on your birthday, you know exactly what I mean. I was fortunate to be able to spend her last moments with her. It meant so much for me to be there.

This was the last picture with the two of us, just hours before she took her last breaths.

The funeral was 5 days after she passed. She always liked bright colors, especially yellow, so we dressed Berkley in her brightest dress! I'm sure Lindsey would have loved it!

Lindsey's family was so sweet and gave everyone who was very close to her flowers to put on her casket before she was buried. This is a picture of me putting the flower on.

The night of her funeral we met down at Utah Lake at the Lindon boat harbor to light off Chinese lanterns.

It was a beautiful night. A little bit windy, but a nice temperature.

This says "Living Through Laughter" in the sand. This was Lindsey's motto! She's such an inspirational person and I have a much stronger testimony that miracles, and anything for that matter, are possible through our Heavenly Father.

Aaron, Berkley, Me, Kathleen, and Eric just before the lantern launching began.

I wrote this in the sand. It's true! ANYONE who knew her, loves her!

This was written on each lantern. Such a sweet message!

Aaron and Eric attempting to light the lantern. The wind was not cooperating.

One of the lanterns floating off into the distance. It was a BEAUTIFUL way to end the day! I'm thankful that we were able to participate, even though our lantern didn't want to take off.

My sweet visiting teacher brought me this little treat with a sweet note expressing her sympathy.

Lindsey's story is amazing and beautiful just like her. Please take the time to let it touch your heart by reading it at forlindsey.blogspot.com or livingthroughlaughter.com. You can also donate to help cover all of the medical bills and other expenses that were necessary to keep her here with us as long as she was.

I miss you and love you, Lindsey!

Our Trip to Ohio: Part 3 of 3

I am finally on the last part of our trip to Ohio! YAY! Sadly we got home just over a month ago and I'm just now finishing! Oh well! It's better late than never, right?!

Berkley loved getting to sleep nakey while we were in Ohio. It was too hot at night not to!

All ready for church and Sadie's baptism on the 21st! It was weird having to drive 45 minutes to get to church! I'm glad I don't have to do that every Sunday!

One of the main reasons we went to Ohio was for Sadie's baptism! She is such a sweet girl and I'm so glad we got to go!

The Ohio family!

L to R: Skip, Jessie, Kevin, Kristin, Melody, Debbie, Sadie, Ryan, Nicole, Tyler

The out of state family!

L to R: Cherie, Aaron, Berkley, Me (Nitasha), Sadie, Dani, Jaden, Kaylie

Skip was taking funny pictures with my camera. This is one of my favorites!

Such a good looking group!

Aaron and Berkley with their cute cheesy grins!

Kissy faces!

Berkley in her other cute outfit from Kelly!

So worn out!

Berkley and Melody playing Legos together!

Berkley and daddy crashed in the chair!

Our last full day in Ohio...the 22nd.

Berkley loves her Aunt Cherie!

Everybody stuffing their faces!

Most of the time Grayson was playing games but I caught his dad, Scott, playing too!

Aaron being silly! I sure do love and adore this guy!

Working in the kitchen!

Kaylie hanging out at the table!

We went out to lunch with Ryan and Jessie and had steakburgers (YUM!) and shakes (DOUBLE YUM!) at this cool restaurant in town!

We were planning on shooting clay pigeons when we got home so it was perfect that Kelly showed up and was able to take care of Berkley for us. I think she kinda enjoyed it too!

All ready to shoot!

Lots of stuff! I didn't realize it would take several hours to shoot all of the clay pigeons and everything. I actually stopped and walked back to the house for a bit (I was frustrated that I couldn't hit anything) and went back later and FINALLY hit one! YAY!

Aaron shooting!

Haha! Do you think Tyler is scared to see me with a gun in my hands or something?!

Okay...he's a little more comfortable with the idea now! Honestly, I can't blame him for being scared in he first place!

Ouch! I have a boo boo! But check out MY guns! HAHA!

Yeah, I never was able to actually launch one of these suckers into the air. I did scare the crap out of everyone around me though! I'm definitely not an outdoors girl!

Aaron was much better at throwing the pigeons than I was!

Yeah, that's my hottie!

I LOVE Jessie's pose in this picture! She's so funny!

Aaron threw the pigeons while Ryan, Jessie, and Tyler played a shooting game!

That's right! Watch out!

Playing with Cherie!

Yummy chocolate!

Berkley saying bye to her cousins, Sadie and Kaylie! Such cute girls!

This was near Debbie's house! It would be hard to be Amish!

Waiting in the airport. Delays must be our thing!

This was our plane from Columbus to Chicago!

I didn't love the view of looking out the window and seeing this but at least I got the window seat!

Goodbye, Ohio!

Leaving Columbus!

Sleepy girl!

Flying through a cloud, headed to Chicago!

Our FINAL boarding passes! Yay!

Mommy and Berkley...ready to go home!

Our view out the window while we waited to leave Chicago!

Aaron on our final flight home! I made him sit in the middle because I like to look out the window, which surprised me because of how scared I was of flying!

Looking out the window, ready to leave Chicago!

Mommy and Berkley on the plane!

Funny faces! We really miss everyone and it was so much fun to get together! It was my first time meeting a lot of the family that was there and I'm so glad that we didn't miss it! We enjoyed our trip and we hope you have enjoyed our documentation of it!
