December 2012!

All three of my kids have been asleep for almost 2 hours straight...at the same time!  As much as I would love to be getting a nap I am absolutely ecstatic to be finishing up with blogging on the events of 2012!  Here's December!!!

We went to Temple Square on the 1st with our friends, Brad and Heather Taylor.  It was cold but so much fun and absolutely beautiful as always!  I truly LOVE to see the temple!

1st through 5th: TRADITIONS!!!  We do the Christmas countdown calendars with those nasty little chocolates together...Berkley LOVED it!  Berkley enjoyed one of my earliest cravings...cooked breakfast!  I couldn't get enough of scrambled eggs with cheese and buttered toast!  Nixon continued to love destroying the tree.  I made my first (and very possibly, only) quilt!  It was a special gift for our special friends, Ryan and Ashley.  They loved it!  Aaron is very musically talented and the kids love to sit at the piano with him.  So heartwarming!  Berkley and Nixon went to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time for Dakota's (my cousin's daughter) birthday party!

6th through 10th: 6 weeks pregnant!  Nixon and Trevyn (Nate and Josie Barker's little guy) playing together after our friend party!  Berkley is starting to get old enough to play with Uncle Paxton more!  Our memories tree full of ornaments from our childhood and marriage!  It's very special to us!  The kids helped daddy reposition the tree because it was tilted just enough to drive me crazy!

11th through 15th: 7 weeks pregnant and looking kinda cute!  Beautiful babies with bright blue eyes!  Ashley's graduation day!  Linda (Ashley's mom) helped me with the kiddos since Aaron had to work!  SNUGGLES!!!  My cute Christmas babies at the Ostler family party!

16th through 20th: Big Sister and Little Brother!  They love each other!  Berkley decided that it's easier to just get into the toy box to play!  Such adorable little babes learning to do new things!

21st through 24th: Daddy and Nixon are so cute together!  There's baby #3's first picture!  The kids LOVED Santa!  Especially Berkley...she didn't want to get off of his lap!  Rieske family party!

Christmas Eve!  We exchanged Christmas gifts with Ryan and Ashley then went home and opened our Christmas PJ's and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" together!  It was perfect!

Christmas Day!  Aaron made his yummy Christmas rolls that we have every year (they're AMAZING!!!) and we all loved them!  Berkley and Nixon woke up so happy and stayed that way all day!  Aren't they adorable?!  Ryan and Ashley came to our house and hung out with us for a while.  Berkley colored with Ashley and Aaron and Ryan bummed out on the couch!  Later that day we went to my parents' house for a little while!  We had a blast!

26th through 31st: The kids loved playing with all of the fun stuff they got for Christmas!  Berkley fell in love...with Elmo!  She seriously was obsessed!  It's so fun to see her develop her likes and dislikes!  Saying bye to Ryan and Ashley before they went to Texas for Air Force training.  That was a sad night!  I'm feeling sad just looking at the picture!  COME HOME, GUYS!!!  We had a very relaxed New Year's Eve with our two kids.  We played the Wii and went to bed VERY early!  We were totally okay with it too!  Goodbye, 2012!!!

November 2012!

I’m staying strong!  I’m not quite meeting my goal of one month per day but I am definitely making progress and doing better than I have been!  (What can you expect with over 1000 pictures for every month to sort through…especially while I wrestle 3 kids under 3 all day?!)  Here’s November!!!

1st through 5th: Nixon’s first night in the crib was on November 1st.  He was so cute and he adjusted to the change really well!  He’s such a good baby!  We went out to eat and Berkley thought it would be fun to eat the blue crayon instead of coloring with it…yum!  Nixon loves spending time in the activity center and Berkley loves to climb in with her toys!  Silly girl!  Berkley is becoming a big helper and loves to help push the shopping cart.  Nixon is eating his baby cereal better and better and they’re just growing up fast!

6th through 10th: Spaghetti nights are the best!  YUM!!!  I love seeing Berkley as a big sister!  She’s so sweet and loving!  Even more than that though, I LOVE seeing Aaron as a daddy!  He’s always so amazing with our kids and it shows because they just love him to pieces!

11th through 15th: My kids are hilarious and oh so cute!  Simple as that!

16th through 20th: I won tickets to the new Twilight movie that included food and drinks and everything…AWESOME!  Ashley came with us since we had an extra ticket and Ryan was in Texas still.  It was our first time going out to do something fun without kids since having Nixon.  Berkley discovered her love for corn on the cob!  Nixon had his first lemon…he wasn’t too sure about it!  Aaron turned 28 and celebrated his birthday with our little family!  28 seems so old!  Life is great!

21st through 25th: Thanksgiving was on the 22nd so there is a separate collage for that.  We also kind of make a big deal out of getting our Christmas tree so there’s a separate collage for that too!  Another tradition we have is donating Christmas gifts.  There was a donation spot at Wal-Mart so we bought a few things and donated them.  Berkley LOVED helping!  We got to go to a Utes basketball game…SO MUCH FUN!  Berkley had a blast dancing around and cheering!  Berkley figured out how to take off her pants and I caught her in just her diaper and a shirt after her nap one day.  WE’RE PREGNANT!!!  On the 25th we had a positive pregnancy test!  CRAZY!!!  We were SO excited immediately (as you can tell by my HUGE smile)!

We were able to spend Thanksgiving Day with both of our families!  It was a nice day to spend with those we love!  I made lemon meringue pies from scratch and they turned out pretty and very yummy!  Lemon meringue is Aaron’s favorite!  The bottom right picture is a 4 generation picture of my grandma (Loreen Rieske), my mom (Christine Brinkman), me (Nitasha Evans), and my daughter (Berkley Evans).  Such a treasure!

We picked out and decorated out Christmas Tree on the 24th.  It’s such a fun tradition!  We drink egg nog and listen to Christmas music or watch a Christmas movie while we decorate and we spend the night sleeping by the tree!  Traditions are great!  Berkley loved being big enough to help decorate and Nixon couldn’t wait to get his hands on the pretty decorations!

26th through 30th: We went to the Festival of Trees together and it was pretty neat.  I don’t know if we’ll go again though because it was SUPER crowded and crazy!  We enjoyed it anyways!  I wore the kids out while shopping and they both fell asleep in the stroller.  Nixon constantly was getting stuck under the tree because he was so mobile already and he would just sit there and fuss until I rescued him!  Berkley and Nixon still love each other at this point!  So sweet!  Berkley is super silly sometimes!  I made a felt tree for Berkley (an idea off of Pinterest) and she loved it!  It was so much fun for her to decorate and undecorated her own tree over and over again!

Well, that’s all for November!  It was a busy and fun month for us!

October 2012!

I decided that it might be easiest to organize the pictures for my posts this way so I’m giving it a try!  I have done collages by date and included short explanations…enjoy!

1st through 5th: Berkley LOVES to play dress-up!  She’s obsessed with her Jedi costume!  She also loves books, playing with friends, corn dogs, and being silly!  Nixon has an amazing smile and gorgeous blue eyes that I could look at all day!

6th through 10th: We spent some time at the park before it got too cold and Berkley LOVED it!  Nixon is such a cute little sleepy head and I love when he snuggles with his daddy!  We got to go to the St. George Marathon to support my family and we parked not far from the amazing LDS temple so I got to take a picture!  I love being silly with my sweet little girl and love watching her learn new things!  P.S. She’s the BEST big sister to Nixon!  I love it!

11th through 15th: Nixon can fall asleep in the most uncomfortable positions!  That was at Caitlyn’s wedding.  Berkley practicing to be like mommy…on the phone!  Berkley LOVES popcorn SO much!  We enjoyed popping our own popcorn together!  Words can’t explain how much I love these two kiddos!

Aaron and Berkley’s daddy/daughter date!  On October 12th I had a relief society activity so Aaron and Berkley went on a date to see the new Ice Age movie and go to Wendy’s for dinner and dessert.  They had a blast!  Aaron taught Berkley how to dip her fries in her Frosty and she decided that it’s yummy to dip chicken nuggets too!  They are so sweet together…I love my daddy’s girl!

16th through 20th: Nixon is getting bigger and bigger!  Berkley is getting so mature!  She loves to feed herself and wander off on her own!  We got to go to my friend’s (Abby) little boy’s (Clark/Ikaika) birthday party while they were here from Hawaii…you would never guess that he’s 9 months younger than Berkley based on size!

We got to go to our friends’ parents’ cabin at Bear Lake for a few days.  We got up there pretty late on the 19th and stayed until the 21st.  We had a great time making yummy food, playing sports, going golfing, and hanging out!  While we were there we let Nixon have his first taste of baby cereal (exactly one week before he was 4 months old).  He didn’t really care for it and Berkley, who insisted on having some, HATED it!  She literally heaved!  It was hilarious!  Good times!  Thanks to Brad and Heather for having us up there with you guys, Nate and Josie, and Sam and Scott!

21st through 25th: Cute pictures of the loves of my life!  In the bottom right corner there’s a picture of me, LeAnn, and Mandi (my sisters-in-law) with our babies who were born within just a few months of each other.  Aren’t they adorable?!

The ward trunk-or-treat and the small family party/cake walk for Halloween!  I’m not a huge Halloween fanatic but I do enjoy planning out cute costumes, especially with kids to dress up too!  I loved the idea of the Justice League that Aaron and I came up with and getting the costumes made and bought was so much fun!  Berkley was “Batgirl”, Aaron was the Green Lantern, I was Wonder Woman, and Nixon was Superman.  We got lots of compliments on our fun costumes and I’ve been looking forward to new fun costumes this year already!

26th through 30th: I love these pictures…especially the one where Berkley is kissing Nixon’s cheek!  SO SWEET!!!  We had a good time picking out our pumpkins!

HALLOWEEN NIGHT!!!  We went to my parents’ trunk-or-treat for their ward (my mom was Cruella and my little brother, Paxton, was a minion from Despicable Me) and visited Aaron’s parents too (Aaron‘s mom loves feeding babies and his dad loves holding the kids and rocking with them)!  It was a busy and fun night!  Look at that yummy candy!  I love my little pumpkins!!!

September 2012! (Yes, I'm literally a year behind!) :)

So I realize that I totally have sucked at blogging for a long time now. I started to play “catch up” at the end of January and made it through one post. Yeah, I’m pretty awesome…anyways, seeing as I have only blogged through the end of August I have a TON of work to do! In all fairness I haven’t had internet access since the end of March because we dropped our internet and TV service to save some money…MUCH more difficult and frustrating than I ever would have imagined but we definitely have saved money so I guess it’s okay! We finally joined the life of internet access again on August 21st and I’m SO enjoying it! Now I just have to do LOTS of posting to catch up…YIKES!!! I’m hoping I can actually make it through it without giving up!
A lot has changed since I last blogged. I never even announced my third pregnancy on the blog and now he’s here and is already more than 5 weeks old! My due date was August 2nd, 2013 and I was induced on July 27th! We didn’t find out the baby’s gender this time around until we had him. It was SO much more exciting that way! I already posted the birth story so you can go check it out if you’re interested!
We also have moved since I last updated. We were living in a townhouse in North Salt Lake until the end of March and now we are living back in our townhouse in Ogden that we bought back in 2008. It’s kind of a tight fit since it’s only 3 bedrooms and we’re now a family of 5 but we are making it work! J Now for the pictures!!!
Here’s a cute picture of Nixon smiling!

Nixon was blessed by his daddy on September 2nd, 2012 in the Foxboro 5th Ward. Here are some of the adorable pictures.

We LOVED playing outside with chalk during the summer and early fall!

Aaron’s dad came from Washington for Nixon’s blessing and the kids just LOVED having him around!

Berkley being a good big sister!

Nixon became a very mobile baby at a very young age! This was when he was 10 weeks old and he moved off of the blanket in just minutes.

I seriously can’t get enough of this adorable little boy!

Berkley likes to work on cars like her grandpa and she loves to read!

At the beginning of September we felt like we needed to buy a van. I know…total mom car…so on September 8th this became my new ride! Exactly one week later we felt very strongly that it was time for us to have another baby so that explains why we felt the need to buy a van!

In September our best bud Ryan Feltner was heading out to boot camp for the USAF so we got together to shave off some of his hair so it wouldn’t be quite as much of a shock when they really shaved his head for him. He wasn’t too happy about it! He got to shave Aaron’s head in return but Aaron really likes having his hair shaved so he wasn’t sad at all! Poor Ryan! Here are the before pictures, during pictures, and after pictures!

My favorite kind of morning…

Berkley loves being a big sister and sitting in the bouncer with Nixon! They’re so stinkin’ cute!

Berkley loves being a big girl!

Oh, that LOOK!!! HAHA!!! She’s starting to get some hair though!

Our nephew, Evan, had his mission farewell in September so we drove to Washington for it. We also spent more time with Aaron’s dad and friend from high school while we were there. We left on the 13th and came back on the 16th so it was a long drive for a short trip…especially with 2 little ones…they did pretty good though! We stayed in a kind of scary hotel but we survived! Here are some of the fun pictures from the trip!

Other adorable pictures from September…

That's it for now but I will do my best to get more caught up throughout the week!  I'm hoping to finish a month each day but we will see how that goes!
