Starting to Play Catch-Up! (wish me luck...)

It has been several months since I have posted a regular post...pathetic, I know!  But what can you do when you have two little munchkins who are a lot more fun to look at and play with than a computer is?!  :)  I seriously adore my children and my husband.  They are my life.  I don't know what I would do if my life were any different than it is but I don't see myself being as happy as I am!  That being said, please excuse my mass overload of pictures as I try to catch up (keep in mind that it will take more than a few posts to catch up too!).  It seriously is exhausting even thinking about how much I need to post on here!  I will do my best not to bore you though.  :)  Here goes nothing...

Nixon was such a sweet newborn!  He definitely wasn't as cuddly as Berkley was but he was still just as sweet!

We got to go to the parade in Ogden on the 24th with Ryan, Ashley, and Linda (Ashley's mom)...kind of a tradition!

We also got to take the kids to their first Real Salt Lake game and there were fireworks after...SO FUN!!!  Nixon slept the whole time!

Nixon spent a lot of time sleeping and Berkley got to spend some time in the pool (she loves swimming!) and Aaron and I got to enjoy being parents of 2!

All of these pictures are from "Family Camp" and the kids were so good!  It's a campout that my mom's side of the family has done for as long as I can remember...LOVE traditions!  Berkley enjoyed running around, playing, getting dirty, and eating (normal kid for ya!) and didn't enjoy falling off the bench onto the pavement so much but she had a great time!  As you can see, Nixon spent most of the trip sleeping!  We had such a fun time!

Here are a few more fun pictures from July including the kids worn out after camping, Nixon's first real bath, an adorable yawn, Berkley learning to be big, and SO much cuteness!  I sure do love these kids!

August 1st through 10th:
Berkley and Nixon snuggling, Berkley helping Aaron work on cars, lots of sleepy Nixon, Berkley being a ham, Nixon's first sign of rolls on his legs, going swimming for Nixon's first time, grumpy kids after church, and Berkley making a friend at the park!  So much fun!

August 11th through 20th:
Playing with the kiddos, Nixon smiling a lot, Berkley being adorable, Nixon sucking his thumb, all of us dressed up nice for a family baby blessing, watching Sprout (Berkley's favorite!), using the double stroller for the first time (man, that was hard to figure out!), and lots of LOVE!!!

August 21st through 31st:
Berkley's first visit to the dentist (she did great!), Nixon sleeping like a frog with his football, more smiling, Big Sister and Little Brother, visiting the doctor for a well-care visit, Nixon sucking on his fingers, front row seats at the Real Salt Lake game (THEY WON!!!), and Berkley being Berkley with her beautiful blue eyes!

On August 23rd we went to Camera Shy to have some updated pictures taken.  These were a few of my favorites!  Nixon was exactly 8 weeks old and Berkley was 18, almost 19, months old.  We have such a beautiful family of 4!  Look at their beautiful blue eyes!  They totally melt my heart!!!

Well, that's it for now.  :(  I hope I can catch up more VERY soon!  Nixon is awake now and trying to play with the keyboard though so continuing on would be 100% pointless and frustrating.  Plus I want to play with him and hear his amazing laugh anyways!  :)  Until next time...

Day 30 of Gratitude!

I am so thankful to have so much to be grateful for! I'm glad that I took the opportunity over the past month to focus on one thing I'm thankful for each day! It was honestly hard to narrow it down and decide what I wanted to focus on each day and I'm incredibly blessed to have that problem! I hope that I will take time each day throughout the year to recognize my many blessings and thank my Heavenly Father for them!

Day 29 of Gratitude!

I am grateful for charity and feeling the desire to give to others as much as possible. We had the opportunity to go to the Festival of Trees and it was awesome! I teared up several times but it was amazing to see so much love and support for our local children's hospital! I wish I could give more than I do. I feel so blessed when I am able to give!

Day 28 of Gratitude!

I'm thankful for my visiting teachers! It was so nice to have them come visit me...it sometimes gets boring having nobody to talk to as a stay at home mom...and they shared a great message that I really needed to hear today. How awesome to have that blessing!

On a side note, I'm so grateful for the power of prayer! I literally had a miracle take place in my life yesterday and I honestly don't know if my mom and kids would be okay if I hadn't listened to the prompting I received and prayed! Our Heavenly Father truly loves and cares about each and every one of us!

Day 27 of Gratitude!

I'm grateful for my mom! She teaches me so much...especially about sewing! She has to have a lot of patience because I'm just dumb when it comes to sewing, but I really appreciate her taking the time to teach me!

Day 26 of Gratitude!

I am thankful for my washing machine and dryer! I don't think I could wash all of my laundry by hand and air dry it...I don't have the patience! It's so nice to throw the clothes in and forget about them for a little bit!

Day 25 of Gratitude!

I am grateful for good, reliable transportation! Our cars don't always run as they should but they do get us where we need to go and I think we take them for granted too often! We are so lucky to have something warm to ride in and keep us comfortable as we travel!
