Day 7 of Gratitude!

I know I'm a tad bit late but I still need to share my gratitude.

I'm so grateful for my hands...they do so many wonderful things each day...give hugs, hold hands with my sweet little toddler, make food, use my phone, wipe away tears from my babies' faces when they're sad, make crafts, allow me to drive, and so much more!

I spent a lot of time today making tutus for a fun boutique on Saturday and I took a moment while making them to stop and appreciate that I have hands that I can use to work and give service. I hope and pray that I will strive to find new ways to use them to bless and help others.

P.S. Although I meant what I said in my last post, I'm a lot more calm now and I just pray that our president will lead our country the way we need to be led. I'm honestly scared to death still.

Day 6 of Gratitude!

This is a tough one for me right now but I am grateful to be an American where at least I know I'm free.

I truly hoped and prayed that Obama wouldn't win the election but I knew that he would from the moment that I knew it was between him and Romney. How did I know? Because I knew that the signs of the times would continue on and if we had a righteous, spiritual, intelligent president (Romney) then things wouldn't happen as the scriptures say they will.

I feel terrified, to be completely honest, but we survived the past 4 years (even if only by hanging by a thread) and I have faith that Heavenly Father cares enough to help us survive the next 4 years.

Times are so hard. Thanks to changes made by Obama, we are stuck with owning a home that is now worth over $45,000 less than it was 4 years ago, we spend any money left over after bills and high taxes on over-priced gasoline and sometimes can't even afford to buy food (starting to change thankfully because of Aaron's new job), we are still paying for our youngest child because "affordable healthcare for all" only applies to people who don't pay for it...yes...my vaginal delivery without any anesthesia or complications literally cost more than $5,000 and meanwhile money is being taken out of our paychecks to help pay for other people to have their babies for free (a bunch of crap!), and so much more!

Thankfully Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers so I believe we will survive but I can't express my gratitude enough that Obama will never be re-elected again! There's my two cents. :) Now off to work on my food storage, emergency supplies, and stocking up on ammo while I still can!...right after a good night's sleep!

Day 5 of Gratitude!

I know I'm about an hour late but I'm posting anyways!

I'm so thankful for my current job! It's the best job ever! I never thought I would be blessed to be a stay at home mom but I am! Raising my two beautiful children and having the opportunity to watch them learn and grow is such a beautiful blessing...even on the rough days! I get to be a part of their lives every minute and I almost never miss a thing.

I went back to work as a pediatric/NICU nurse for 2 weeks after I had Berkley and, as much as I loved it, I hated missing out on spending time with my sweet, young baby.

I am so grateful that Aaron works so hard so I can stay home with our babies! I love it! Being a mom totally rocks!

Day 4 of Gratitude!

Today, and every day, I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. So, so grateful! I am thankful that I was raised with the gospel in my life and that I am sealed to my family for eternity. I am thankful to know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me as an individual and that even the small things that are important to me are important to Him.

I feel blessed to go to church each week and learn more about His gospel and take the sacrament and think of what Christ has done for me and all of us. I can't express my gratitude enough to have the gospel in my life and to have the blessings I have because I do my best to live it.

I am also thankful that Heavenly Father knows that I am imperfect but loves me anyways...true unconditional love. Not only that, but I am thankful that he loves all of us unconditionally and knows each of us better than we even know ourselves.

His guidance is such a blessing to me and I am grateful to Him for EVERYTHING that I have. I hope that those who are searching for Him will be able to find Him and feel His love in their lives as I do in mine.

Day 3 of Gratitude!

I'm so thankful for technology! I love having a smart phone that allows me to get on Facebook, read blogs, check my email, play games, and anything else I could want to do...even write this post! As frustrating as it can be sometimes I can't believe how much easier it makes life to have the technology we have! :)

P.S. I absolutely love my Samsung Galaxy S3! Best phone ever!

Day 2 of Gratitude!

I can't help but appreciate the fact that I have a warm, safe shelter that my family is blessed to live in. It breaks my heart that there are people suffering out east because their homes have been damaged by Hurricane Sandy...especially with the weather getting colder.

I wish that nobody had to be homeless. I hate seeing vacant properties that could be providing shelter to the homeless...seems like such a waste of space to me.

Although I get frustrated from time to time that my closet isn't as big as I wish it was, I'm truly grateful to have a home to have a closet in. I really shouldn't complain about something as stupid as a tiny closet and tiny garage when I could just remember how blessed I am to have a warm, safe place for my family. :)

Way behind but very thankful! Day 1 of Gratitude!

I'm not going to update my blog just yet thanks to my laptop having trojans recently but I do want to take a moment to express my gratitude for one of many things I'm grateful for today.

Day 1: I'm thankful to have such an incredible little family that I get to be sealed to for eternity. Aaron, Berkley, and Nixon are so special to me and I love them so much! I couldn't ask for a better husband and children. I feel so blessed to be their wife and mommy! :)

Stay tuned for more things I'm grateful for this month...my goal is to share one new thing each day!
