More Firsts for Berkley!

It's hard to believe that she's almost 15 months old and still having "firsts"!  It makes me happy though because she's growing up WAY too fast!

On the 16th we gave Berkley her first Peep!  She was kind of intimidate by it at first but then she attacked the ear...then the other ear...then the body and before we knew it, it was all GONE!  YUM!

Berkley finally had her first tooth come in on February 20th and her second on February 27th!  They're so cute!  We decided to buy her a little toothbrush and start brushing her teeth a month after her first tooth broke the skin.  She likes to "help" but she brushes her hair with it instead!  I blame Mr. Noodle on Sesame Street because, not too long ago, we watched an episode where Elmo wanted to learn about brushing his teeth and Mr. Noodle brushed his hair with his toothbrush instead...thanks a lot Mr. Noodle!  HAHA!  She is already EXTREMELY independent and HATES when we help her brush her teeth!  She screams if we do it, even though she LOVES to brush her teeth!  It's pretty funny!

March Moving MaDnEsS!

We moved to North Salt Lake at the beginning of March to be closer to Aaron's work because he got promoted at the beginning of February and the hour long drive each way SUCKED!  We love the new area we're in and we're enjoying getting to know people.  We've been here for almost 4 weeks already, which just blows me away!  We miss our friends in Ogden!

Berkley likes to "help" a lot!  She helped us unpack, get out some kitchen utensils (the stool didn't work to block her), take off her pants, and she even helped herself up on top of her activity table!  She's so SILLY!

"Who needs luck when you're this cute?" - that was her shirt for St. Patrick's Day!  I LOVE IT!!!  My little princess is such a silly little girl!  I can't get enough of her!

Peace!

She loves to stick two fingers in her mouth right now, I think because it helps with the pain of teething!  She's so dang cute!

The other day she pulled me over to the stairs, waited for me to open the gate, climbed all the way up, and went into Nixon's room JUST so she could play with the MEGABLOCKS!  She loves them!

Shop 'til you DROP!

We love to go shopping together!  It's one of our favorite family activities...even when we don't buy anything!  Now that we are only about 20 minutes from the outlets in Park City we had to make a trip up there so we went up with Ryan and Ashley, our besties!

Our cute little model tried on a huge sun hat at Old Navy and she LOVED it!   Four days later we went to the Gateway with Ryan and Ashley and bought a present for Berkley for Easter.  She was SO excited and refused to let anyone else hold the bag.  You'll have to wait to see what it is though!

The new City Creek Center opened up downtown on the 22nd so we decided to go check it out.  Berkley's favorite stores were the Disney store and Nordstrom's!  We also went to Chick-Fil-A and got a free mini plush cow for Berkley and got some lunch too!  Other than that we didn't buy anything because, lets be honest, the stores there are pretty expensive!  We literally had to wait in a line JUST to get IN to the Disney store...two HOURS after it first opened!  It was super crazy!  Nordstrom's was a little less crazy so we let Berkley walk around and she loved it!  She seriously loves to be a big girl!

Berkley at the Park!

Our new place has two playgrounds within a 5-10 minute walking distance...one just at the end of our street...and I LOVE it!  Berkley loves it too!

Berkley likes to play in the tube and peek through the holes at us.  She also likes to eat the sand...YUCK!

Aaron got to come with us the next time and Berkley had a blast playing peek-a-boo with him!  She couldn't get enough of it!  She loves her daddy so much and I LOVE seeing them together!

I could definitely get used to having a park so close!

NIXON...Our Baby Boy!

On March 7th we went to the targeted ultrasound.  I was 23 weeks and 2 days along at the time and everything was PERFECT!  Our baby boy even cooperated well enough that we got a beautiful view of his face and profile...so perfect that we were able to decide on his name!  We're going to name him Nixon Ryan Evans!  We are so excited and we feel like his name fits him perfectly!  We love that it's a unique name but still easy to spell...just like Berkley is.  I think we're probably going to stick with that kind of thing for all of our kids!

This little man is quite the mover!  He recently found my ribs and loves to kick them...not so fun...and he gets the hiccups a lot!  I love when he has the hiccups because I know that I will be able to have Aaron feel him and I know where to have him put his hand!  Nixon loves to KICK!  He kicks my legs when I'm bent over for too long, the laptop, his sister, and anything else in his way!  He makes me laugh!  I got a great video of him kicking the remote yesterday and he repeated the show for his daddy when we were laying in bed last night.

I'm absolutely loving this pregnancy and I'm both sad and excited for it to end.  I'm excited for obvious reasons but I'm sad because I remember how much I missed so many things about being pregnant after I had Berkley and this pregnancy has had zero complications, unlike my hives from being allergic to several foods and my placenta previa that I had with Berkley.

I am officially in the double digits as of today...only 99 days left to go until my due date on July 2nd...but my midwife said that as long as everything looks good he will induce as early as June 28th!  That means that I may only have 95 days!  That both scares and excites me because I don't feel nearly as ready as I would like to be.  I still need a crib (MAYBE...we might transition Berkley into a toddler bed), bedding, bath towels, and other boy stuff!  YIKES!!!  Thankfully people are super generous and have given me some clothes, a swing, and a double stroller but I am still very overwhelmed with what I still need and don't have!  Not to mention the hundreds of diapers and wipes that we will need!  AAHHH!!!  We'll get there.  I just have to keep telling myself that!

Sick Days! Not So Fun!

We have spent the past several days lounging around the house because of our little sickie! She has been miserable! I think that she's finally on the upside and can't wait to have my happy, healthy baby back again!
