June

I guess that I should hurry and make a post before the month is over.

This month has been wild!

On the 5th, I did my first 5k. I didn't do great but what can you expect when you never exercise and you're pregnant and your body is starting to change.

On the 7th, we saw our baby's heart beating for the first time. Yup! We're going to be parents!

We had my 16-year old brother, Austin, staying with us from the 6th to the 10th just to get out of town for a few days.

On the 10th, we drove to my parents' house in Pleasant Grove for my dad's birthday. On our way there, I got really sick and threw up uncontrollably! I don't think it was just morning sickness though because Austin threw up a few days later and my mom was feeling really sick for a while too.

On the 11th, I woke up with the worst migraine. I literally went numb on my right side (face, arm, fingers, and even my teeth!) and I had HORRIBLE vision! My neck was really out of place so I tried to get into the chiropractor but he was out of town. I had another migraine later that night. I woke up with another migraine the next day, so bad that I didn't even get out of bed for several hours other than to go to the bathroom. Morning sickness mixed with migraines mixed with no chircopractor SUCKS! I had another migraine the next day shortly after waking up but I went to church anyways. I don't know how long I was actually awake, but I felt like CRAP! Monday morning, I woke up with a mild headache, thank goodness it wasn't a migraine, but I went numb on my left side. I decided to see the chiropractor in Ogden. My headaches were much better after that and I got adjusted again later that week when I went down to PG again.

On the 20th, we brought Austin home with us again. He has been at our house ever since, living a boring life of no phone and no computer because Aaron and I have both been working a lot.

YAY! Aaron got a job! He is working for T-Mobile. He started on the 21st and finishes his training this Thursday. After that he will be making commission! WOOHOO! He loves it so far and we are so blessed that he has found such a great job! Now it's time to pay off student loans (BOO!!!) but at least we are both done with college!

We are going to be going to my family camp this weekend and it will be AWESOME to have a break! I have 6 days off and I can't wait!

Today was probably my favorite day in all of June! We got to have another ultrasound and our baby is getting BIG, moves A LOT, and let us hear his/her HEARTBEAT! Well, I guess we didn't give the baby much of a choice in the last part, but SUPER COOL!!! We even saw small details like the fingers, eyes, and mouth! GREAT experience! Aaron took all of the pictures with him to show off at work. He's so cute! He will make an amazing daddy and it's so fun to see him get more and more excited with each appointment! Just less than 28 weeks left! It's hard to believe! We love our sweet baby so much and hope that everything continues to go well! I get kind of freaked out because of working in the NICU but I know that if our baby ever is in the NICU, he/she will get FANTASTIC care!

We are a very blessed and happy family and can't wait to expand!

One more hour of work, WHEW! What a great way to pass the time!

Yardsales and Fundraisers!

Friday night Aaron had a brilliant idea of how we could spend our Saturday...yardsaling! Saturday morning was spent looking up yardsales on KSL and driving around from about 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM getting killer deals! We got a little bit wet but it was well worth it!

We started in North Ogden. At the first stop we spent $15.50. We got two pairs of cuff links, two vinyl wall sayings, 6 packs of scrapbook paper (one came with a digital scrapbook program and HP photo editing program), 2 packs of rub-on stickers, and 2 packs of cute metal things for scrapbooking. YAY! Maybe now I will have more incentive to scrapbook!

Subtotal = $15.50

South Weber ("WEBBER" according to our GPS! HAHA!) was next. We got a diaper warmer with one new pad and 2 sets of king-sized sheets (including a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and 2 king pillowcases each) for a whopping $23.00! For those of you who have ever bought king-sized sheets, you know this is a great deal!

Subtotal = $38.50

As we were driving to the South Weber yardsale we noticed a sign for a fundraiser for a guy who needs eye surgery. We decided to try to find it and we succeeded! We bought 2 hamburgers (probably the best home-cooked hamburgers I have EVER had!), a bag of 3 scrumptious chocolate chip cookies, a scotcheroo, and 10 super cute and crafty cards! We spent $16.00 and we got to help this guy out! You gotta love service!

Subtotal = $54.50

The next yardsale we went to was in Clinton. They had TONS of beauty products! We bought 2 things of Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara (my favorite kind!), a bag of Plackers flossers, a big bottle of Johnson's baby lotion, and a big bottle of Johnson's bedtime moisture wash for a total of $11.00! WOW! I just bought some mascara last week for $6.50 at Wal-Mart...for 1 thing of it, same kind! I couldn't resist buying more at such a great price!

Subtotal = $65.50

The last yardsale for the day was in Hooper, right down the street from where Aaron grew up! There was mostly old people stuff but we did find some good dress pants. The only problem was that they were too small for Aaron. Luckily, they are just the right size for my younger brother! One pair of Dockers still has the tags on! We bought 4 pairs of great condition dress pants for $9.00 total! Just at the beginning of April we bought my brother a pair of dress pants from Wal-Mart for $13.00. CRAZY SAVINGS!

Grand Total = $74.50 and we got lunch and snacks out of it too!

What a fun and exhausting day! I can't wait to yardsale with my honey again! Thanks, babe! It was an AWESOME day!

There were several other yardsales on our list but they were too wimpy to face the rain! Their loss!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

SO our Easter weekend has been super busy!

I worked Thursday night until 4:30 AM, drove home, finished packing to go to my parents' house for the weekend, and left. We got to their house around 6:45 AM and I immediately went to sleep!

That day, after I woke up at 11:40 AM, we went Easter shopping and got some sweet stuff! Then Aaron and I went to Los Hermanos with my cousins. My cousin, Katie, and her hubby were down from Washington for their spring break and I hardly ever see them so it was super fun! Then we went to Rob and Lisa's to play the Wii. We played Just Dance and Family Feud. It was way fun! I recorded some of the dancing but I think I would have some of them hunting me down if I posted the footage!

The next day was the Easter Egg Hunts, my little brother's birthday, and the first day of General Conference. We went to the Rotary Park in AF but there wasn't a hunt this year. :( SO we went to Smith's to get a killer deal on some ice cream, which we did! Then we went to the PG egg hunt. Paxton, my little brother, was so funny! I told him to get the shiny, sparkly yellow (aka golden) eggs because those are the ones that get cool prizes. He was desperate to get ONLY the golden eggs so he kept running past all of the other eggs to see if he could find them, which he didn't, so he gave up and started picking up other eggs. It was so funny! He's such a cute kid!

After the egg hunt, we went home to watch the first session of conference. Being super tired, we fell asleep on the couches and woke up just in time to eat a little bit of breakfast before going to the egg hunt at Macey's. When we got to Macey's they had already started the hunt so we pushed Paxton in to go get some eggs but he couldn't find any... poor kid! A nice little girl saw that he didn't have any eggs so she gave him 2 of hers. Such a sweetie! After getting some groceries we went back to my parents' house.

My younger brother, Austin, runs track for PGHS so Aaron, me, and my dad all went to the second half of his meet. He did pretty good. His shoe fell off during the 3rd lap of the 3200 meter dash, he fixed it, and it kept falling off, costing him lots of time! He finally took the shoe off and finished with it in his hand! He did good! I know I wouldn't have been able to do that!

Later Saturday night, we went to dinner at Golden Corral for Garrett's birthday. It was super crowded because the Priesthood session had just gotten out but it was good! After we got home, we colored some Easter eggs and went to bed. When we woke up today we saw what the Easter Bunny had left for us... a big mess of CANDY! We watched/slept through conference, had a nice Easter breakfast, a nice Easter dinner, and played some games together!

It was a fun Easter weekend! Happy Easter everyone!

BUSY BEES!

I feel like we have just been a couple of busy bees lately. Between work, birthdays, weddings, and just every aspect of life I have been neglecting my blog. My parents celebrated their 26th anniversary yesterday which makes it more obvious to me that Aaron and I have been married nearly 4 years. That makes me feel so old! Expecially because we have been married so long and still don't have any kids. CRAZY!

Anyways, I am just so thankful to have my sweet husband. We went to a wedding for a good friend today and I started thinking about what our lives were like when we were first married. I can't believe how much things have changed, how much we have learned, and how much more I love my sweet husband every day! Needless to say, I am looking forward to every minute I get to spend with my sweetie in the future!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

I had a huge, seven day break over my birthday so I kept myself busy with family and friends!

On Friday, we went to a cabin with Travis and Jacey and Travis' parents. We played Sequence and nine innings and watched You, Me, and Dupree, ate cheesecake, and went snowmobiling! It was a blast!

On Saturday, we left the cabin and went to Pleasant Grove to stay with my parents. That night, Aaron and I went to Tepanyaki, my FAVORITE restaurant, with Travis and Jacey and Lindsey and Josh. It was so delicious! I would eat there every night if I could! I got the New York Steak Dinner with noodles and California roll sushi! YUM! I even caught the shrimp! (I guess it makes it easy when the chef throws it to the back of my throat and I don't have to try!) Then we went to Lindsey and Josh's house and the boys played Halo for a few hours while the girls talked. It was nice to have some "girl time".

On Sunday, we went to church with my family and we played a game called "Faces". It was fun to just relax that day.

On Monday, we went shopping! I got a sweet new swimsuit for the upcoming summer and I can't wait to wear it with my new and improved "swimbod"! (This is still in the works just so you know!) Later, we went to Eric and Kathleen's house for pizza and games. We literally played Risk for 3.5 hours! It was SO long!!! I did pretty good, surprisingly, but towards the end I honestly didn't care if I won or not! Kathleen made some killer chocolate shakes and these really good cookies that I ate WAY too many of but it was my birthday eve after all!

On Tuesday, my actual birthday, Aaron arranged for me, him, my mom, and my grandma to go to Good Things Utah, my favorite morning show, to be part of the studio audience. I recorded the show on my DVR and it shows me twice! If you saw the show, do me a favor and keep in mind that the camera actually adds 30 pounds! After the show was over, they asked a few trivia questions to win some scrapbooking kits. I won a kit and so did Aaron! Aaron gave the one that he won to my grandma since he obviously didn't need it. They are super cute kits! After getting our picture taken with Nicea, Angie, Marti, and Reagan we left to take my mom to work. Then my grandma took us out to IHOP for brunch. It was yummy! Then Aaron and I went shopping for a little while until we were both so tired that we had to go to my parents' house to pass out for a few hours. All three of my brothers living at home were really sick that day so it was only me, Aaron, and my parents who went to dinner. We went to Texas Roadhouse, one of my other favorites, and I got another steak (I really had to splurge while I had an excuse!) and I sat on the saddle while everybody said "YEEHAW!". It was embarrassing, but so worth it to get the ice cream! The rest of the night was nice and slow. We sat at my parents' house and just relaxed.

On Wednesday, my mom, Austin, Paxton, me, and Aaron all went shopping for some scrubs for my birthday presents. Afterwards, we went to Los Hermanos, my favorite Mexican restaurant, where I got fried ice cream for my birthday treat! YUMMY!!! Then we left Pleasant Grove to go home to Ogden. When we got home we unpacked, started some laundry, then played Clue (cause I got it for my birthday) until we went to Josh and Cassie's to get my hair done. Cassie rocks by the way! I LOVE MY NEW HAIR! Yup! I am officially a blonde again! YAY!!! It looks super cute! We got home around 11:30 PM and we went to bed. WHAT A BUSY WEEKEND!!!

I know that I made my birthday last nearly a week, but it only comes once a year so you have to make it last! Overall, it was a great birthday! Thanks to everybody who was a part of it!

You have one week left!

I have only one week left until my 24th birthday which means that all of you have one week left to get me a killer birthday present! So get up, turn off your computer, and get me something awesome! HAHAHA! Just kidding! But really! WOW! I cannot believe that I have already been alive for 24 years! Minus one week, but still! I really thought that I would have a baby by now. : ( Oh well. Someday.

At least I can look at my life as it is and be satisfied with where I am, right?! I mean I am 23 years old and I have a house, 3 cars (not paid off but they will be someday!), a wonderful career as a nurse, and, best of all, the best husband I could ever ask for. I really have everything that I want and need, minus the kid, but my time will come.

So, happy birthday to me...in a week! Maybe this will be my year to have a kid, or at least get pregnant. I would take either!
