Aaron had the day off today and we decided to make the most of it! We had a very busy and very fun day! We started off by getting ready and going to Seagull Book to buy some baptism programs for a baptism in our ward tomorrow (because Aaron is the ward mission leader) and then we went to Wal-Mart to get a few things.
After Wal-Mart, we went to a few other stores looking for Transformers t-shirts for the big premiere on Monday night (Yeah, Aaron totally won VIP tickets and stuff and we get to see it before almost everybody else...YAY!!!...can't wait!). We were pretty much unsuccessful ($20 for a shirt is a little much) so we gave up.
We decided to go check out South Ogden Days. I just have to say that their carnival rides looked so awesome! We didn't actually go on any rides but they sure did look fun! We walked around the vendor booths and checked out the car show. It was a pretty good car show!
Berkley and mommy at the Relay for Life!
After everything at South Ogden Days we decided to just go home. On our way home, we noticed that something was going on downtown and we decided to check it out. It turned out that it was a Relay for Life so we walked around the path one time and bought a few things to support the cause for cancer.
Aaron got some hot dogs (I can't eat hot dogs because I'm allergic and I throw up when I eat them sometimes) and we got some cotton candy to share. Berkley really liked the cotton candy but she was so sleepy that she hardly had the desire to play with it. I got a super awesome wristband that says, "Cancer Sucks". It's so true!
One of my very best friends from growing up is fighting cancer right now and I couldn't stop thinking about what I would do to take it away from her. Lindsey is such an inspiration to fight for life and I look up to her so much. My husband and I both struggled to fight back tears as we walked the lap around the park.
I know that Heavenly Father is there to help us through anything and I 100% believe in miracles, moreso now than ever before. I am so grateful for my amazing little family and the healthy bodies that we have! I can't think of a better way to end a wonderful "day off" than to go snuggle with my husband and baby and show my appreciation for them, so good night!
