May, May, May! What a fast and wonderful month!

May was a great month!  Busy and fast (wasn't it?!), but great!  We enjoyed many things: Mother's Day, our 6th anniversary, playing with Berkley, and much more!

This little girl is just so dang beautiful!  I can't get enough of her!

I love this cute little patriotic outfit on her and her pose is to die for!

This beautiful, new diaper bag was my Mother's Day present from my sweet husband!  I absolutely love it!!!  I don't have a picture of my anniversary gift from him but he got me a red, black, and white bag too!  Isn't he so sweet?!

Berkley loves lots of things (as I will show you below) but one of her FAVORITE things is PB&J!  I love that she loves PB&J sandwiches because they are easy to make and she doesn't make a mess when she eats them!  That's why she's sitting on the couch.  Can you tell she's a little obsessed with watching TV?  She even stares at it when it's off just waiting for something to come on the screen!

We love to reward Berkley for her good behavior and she was AMAZING for 2 days in a row so we went out for ice cream!  YUM!!!

Other things that Berkley loves: being outside (we went to her Uncle Paxton's end of the year dance festival at Grovecrest Elementary), unzipping her PJ's, suckers (she doesn't make a mess either!), stuffed animals (she loves to pick one from her crib to bring with her when we get her out in the morning), sitting on pillows on the floor, sleeping in (I love it too!  She actually slept until 9:40 the day I took the picture!), playing the piano (she even pushes her toys over so she can reach the keys...thank goodness that it's a Clavinova!), playing with her magnetic doodle pad and sitting under her high chair, playing at the park (she even sat down to go down the slide by herself!), eating (I love to watch her eat pasta!  SO CUTE!!!), and spending time with mommy and daddy (nothing beats home-popped popcorn and family movie night!)

We left Berkley overnight for the first time ever to celebrate our anniversary.  It was very sad for us and we missed her like crazy.  I even bawled my eyes out within a minute of leaving the house.  We felt that it was better to see how she would do before we went to the hospital to have Nixon.  Otherwise, she would have spent the night with us!  The yummy fudge brownie sundae I had at Dee's helped me to feel a lot better!  Holy yumminess!

We went to the doctor on May 31st to see how Nixon is doing and he's doing GREAT!  He weighs about 5 lb 7 oz and he's head down...ready for the big day!  My cervix isn't dilated yet (fine by me!) but it is softening and I'm 50% effaced so my body is definitely getting ready!  The only problems I've had with this pregnancy have been recent.  In the past month I have had 2 UTI's and a yeast infection...MISERABLE!!!  Other than that this pregnancy has been about as easy as it could possibly be and I'm still loving it!  Nixon is pretty wiggly so we're kind of worried about the likely sleep deprivation but it will all be worth it to have him in our family and we are super excited for the big day!  As long as things continue to go well we only have 3 weeks and 6 days left to go!  CRAZY!  That's only 27 days!  Time to finish the last minute preparations!

The above picture is me at 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 weeks along.  I'm definitely growing but I've still only gained less than 17 pounds as of today (35 weeks and 4 days along)!  With 5.5 pounds of that being our little man and a lot of it being my blood, placenta, amniotic fluid, and lots of other stuff we figure that I'm losing my body weight so hopefully I will have an easier time getting into shape after he's born!  It took me 4 months to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight after Berkley but I had lost 22 pounds in the first 3 weeks after I had her so if that's the case then I plan on being back to my pre-pregnancy weight by 1 month postpartum!  I'm crossing my fingers!

Just for fun to see how much I've grown here are some pictures of me at 5, 15, 25, and 35 weeks pregnant!  Yup!  There's definitely a baby in there!

A very sweet girl in my new ward took some awesome pictures for us yesterday!  She's on her way out of town today but she was kind enough to edit some of the pictures for me so I could have a sneak peek and we LOVE them!  She did great!  Here they are!

Berkley snuggling with Nixon and mommy!

Feeling for Nixon's big kicks!

I'm so in love with my cute little princess and my sweet little prince on the way!  They are SO loved!  Aaron is the best daddy to Berkley and I can't wait to see him with our little man!

I will post more of these great pictures when I get them!  You should check out our photographer, Sarah Miller, on Facebook!

Thanks for reading!

April is over already?! Wow!

April went so fast!  It's hard to believe that we're already 1/3 of the way through the year!  I have mixed feelings about time passing so quickly because the faster time goes, the sooner we will get to really meet our baby Nixon but at the same time, the less time we have left to prepare for Nixon and the less time I have left to be pregnant.  Honestly, I love being pregnant so that will be hard for me.  Oh well!  I guess that there's no such thing as slowing down time so I will just have to keep taking each moment as it comes and appreciate the time that I do have!

Two of Berkley's favorite things: her TOMS and waiting at the window for daddy to come home!  I love this picture!

Four cute prego girls!  Me (Nixon due July 2nd - 29 weeks 4 days along), Alexa (Bennett due July 21st), Josie (Trevyn due September 15th), and Cass (??? due November 24th)!  Cass is the only one who doesn't know if she's having a boy or a girl yet but she's hoping for another girl.  The rest of us are having boys!  It's so fun that we're all pregnant together!

We got to get together on April 20th to celebrate Taylor (Cass' hubby) graduating!  It was fun to reunite!

Berkley hanging out with her daddy!  She can't get enough of him!  She threw the biggest tantrum when he left for work today...it was cute but sad!

We finally have bedding for Nixon!  I bought it on the day that I was 30 weeks along (cutting it pretty close in my opinion!) and Berkley LOVES sitting on it!  She sat like this for most of the night.  She really cracks me up!

We got to go to the park for playgroup because the weather was nice and Berkley loved it!  She hated the wood chips at first but once she decided they were okay, she couldn't get enough of them!

Wearing my hat...backwards!  She kept putting it over her face and running around "blind" and running into things and making us laugh!  She loves being our entertainment!

Berkley and Swoop...inseparable!  She LOVES Swoop!  She gives him kisses on the beak, holds him, snuggles him, pets him, you name it!  She's in love!  :)

One of Berkley's new things that I love...she lays on her tummy with her feet "frogged" behind her and watches TV.  It's so CUTE!  I love her adorable grown-up girl personality!

Berkley loves to play "mommy" with her baby doll!  She holds her and "gives loves", and burps her!  She's going to be a great big sister!

Berkley got to ride on top of the lawn mower at Home Depot when we met up with Nate and Josie so they could buy their 3rd lawn mower for the season!  Hopefully this one is the winner!

Our zoo pass expired yesterday so we went to the zoo one last time...for now...I'm sure I will have to renew so I can hike up that big hill on the backside while pushing Berkley in the stroller in an attempt to get Nixon here sooner!  We had a blast!

Goodbye, April and Hello, May!  I hope that the rest of the year continues to be awesome!

P.S. Berkley said grandpa for the first time today when I was talking to my dad on the phone...so adorable!  She kind of says it like "bam-pa" and it's the cutest thing!

P.P.S. I love this little girl SO much (obviously...I can't talk about her enough!) and I love my little man, Nixon, and can't wait to hold him in my arms and give him lots of hugs and kisses!  Aaron is the best dad I ever could ask for to be the father of my children and I just feel so blessed!  My heart aches for those who experience trials with finding their spouse or having children and I take their hardships as a reminder of how blessed I am not to have those trials.  I couldn't feel more grateful for my life and the wonderful people I share it with!  I wish all of you the best in your lives as well and, if these are your trials, I wish and pray that you will be comforted and know that I love and care about you and that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Easter, the Playground, the Zoo, and MORE!

Here I am...updating my blog in a timely manner...AGAIN (YAY for me!)...but I have to thank picnik.com for the push to update now.  They are closing in 2 days and I wanted to make sure I got some good collages made before then.  I also have to thank people for keeping my hubby so busy at work that he is STILL there!  OVER 11 HOURS TODAY!!!  GRRR!  At least I have the time to catch up on my blog though, I guess...

Before we get started on April I have to post one last picture from March...

...That's right!  We FINALLY put Berkley's big girl carseat in and she was SO excited!  We've had it for a couple of months but, with the move and other craziness, it took us a long time to actually put it in the car for her to use so she played in it in the house instead.  Not anymore though!

Okay, so back to April!

We spent some time at the playground!

Aaron bought 2 dozen roses for me on one of the worst days I've ever had.  It was bad but it quickly got worse.  By the end of the day I had "cooked" my dinner in the crockpot without ever plugging it in.  Needless to say, thanks to hormones, I cried (A LOT), yelled at Aaron (WAY TOO MUCH), and we ended up going to Applebee's for dinner because my chicken was still raw!  Those roses definitely were needed that day and he even bought them before I called him crying about my crockpot mishap!  Such a good hubby!!!

Aaron's sister, Dani, came to visit for a while and Jaden (her son) and Berkley were naughty together!  It was cute!  They pulled out almost all of the shoes then climbed into the shoe basket to play together!  I about died when I caught them like this!  It was way too cute!!!

Berkley has oficially fallen in LOVE...with PB&J sandwiches!  She even feeds herself without making much of a mess and she's SO cute to watch when she eats them!

Berkley likes to sit in her little recliner...and stand...which leads to...

THIS!  The little stinker stood up and tried to walk off the chair and landed on the corner of the ottoman, giving herself a little goose-egg!  It's under her hair, thankfully, but it was about 1 inch by 3 inches!  It was SO sad!!!  Of course she got over it quickly though!

Berkley's first time at an Easter Egg Hunt!  She absolutely LOVED it!  She got a ton of eggs (for her age anyways) and she enjoyed playing with them at home afterwards...dumping them out...picking them up...dumping them out...and picking them up...over and over and over again!

We got to color eggs the day before Easter and Berkley got colored too!  Thankfully grandma was able to scrub her clean before the Easter Egg Hunt at her other grandparents' house!

This is an egg I colored.  It says "The Evans Peeps 2012"..."Daddy~Mommy"..."Berkley~Nixon" on it!  Cute, huh?!

The cousins all get together each year for an Easter Egg Hunt that Aaron's parents do.  This was the first year we had a child old enough to participate!  Berkley had a blast running around and picking up eggs.  She HATED the shiny eggs and anything but the plain eggs too!  She cried and threw them out when we put them in her basket (because she wouldn't pick them up...Hello?!  There was money inside!) and continued to hate them at home!  Silly girl!  Overall, Aaron's parents did a great job organizing this fun family activity and Berkley loved it!

 Easter Morning 2012!

Berkley was super spoiled!  She finally got the Abby doll that she loves and she got lots of other fun stuff too!  She got a pretty peach dress, a cute little outfit, pink glitter TOMS, a shape sorter, pink swimming pool, Mrs. Potato Head, and CANDY!  She loved picking up the jelly beans off the floor (the Easter Bunny was messy at our house!) and when we cleaned them up she threw a HUGE tantrum!  We had to get a picture of course!  HAHA!

Aaron and I were asked to speak in our new ward on Easter and we also had a musical number with our ward choir that we were in.  It was a crazy day!  Plus we filled out police reports because of a silly situation that we witnessed in our neighborhood.  After spending time with family and close friends (who might as well be family!) we crashed on the couch for a nice, long nap!  It was a great day!

Apparently Berkley thinks her hand is star-shaped!  HAHA!  She gets her hand stuck in her shape sorter a lot and she HATES it!  The funny thing is that she keeps doing it though!

Berkley loves to wear her rings as bracelets, especially this orange one.  She's a girly girl!

On the 10th we got to go to the zoo with my mom and brothers (Garrett and Paxton) because of Utah County being on spring break!  Berkley was tired but she still had a good time!

We had Garrett and Paxton come stay with us for a couple of days during their spring break since both of my parents work and we thought we would be more entertaining...little did we know that they would be the entertainment for Berkley!  She LOVED having them with us!!!  We went to the playground, played the Wii, did some yardwork, and Berkley used Paxton as a chair!  We had a great time and Berkley cried when they left to go home!  So PRECIOUS!!!

On Saturday our new ward had an awesome activity!  It was a 5K/breakfast/Easter Egg Hunt and my mom had come up to pick up my brothers so they all stayed for the activity.  Garrett took 1st place in the 5K (with a time of 22:20), Aaron came in a little while after, and my mom and Paxton came in last (that's what happens when you go the pace of a 6-year old!) and they all did GREAT!  The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the Egg Hunt was great and very well-organized!

On Sunday morning we were getting ready for church when I saw this precious sight!  Berkley was giving kisses to a picture of me holding her when she was 1-month old!  It melted my heart!  She loves to hold and look at pictures, especially of herself!

I just LOVE and ADORE this precious little girl!

Berkley loves to wait for daddy by the door!  She runs over and says "daddy!" the whole way in hopes that Aaron will be coming.  Sadly this time was very early in the day but Aaron took a half-day at work so we got to see him not too much longer after this!  She's such a daddy's girl and I honestly LOVE it!  They are so precious together!  I'm not even jealous!

We went to the ZOO!  Twice in one week is pretty awesome!  Berkley loved pointing at the animals and hanging out with her daddy!  Check out that gorgeous TIGER!!!

After we looked at the giraffes Berkley decided to take off running!  She tried to go back to the giraffes...I think she liked them!  She is obsessed with her belly and kept lifting up her shirt and running around bare-belly!  It was hilarious!

We went on a train ride around the zoo when we were done walking around and Berkley was SO tired!!!  She crashed almost instantly once she was in the car!  We had a blast though!

This morning I caught Berkley like this.  She figured out how to open the cabinet on our entertainment center (BOO!!!) and she pulled out ALL of the Wii stuff that was in there.  She's so silly and cute!

Later this afternoon Berkley grabbed my finger and walked me over to the stairs, pulled on the gate (so I opened it), crawled up the stairs, and ran to her bedroom where she sat down, pulled out a book, and started reading!  After a while she had nearly every book pulled out and scattered across her room!  She loves to read!  It's so cute and I treasured that hour-and-a-half with her.  She would bring me a book, we would read it, then she would grab another book.  I LOVED IT!!!

After we read we came back downstairs.  She FINALLY came down the stairs by herself too!  I was SO proud!  She's never fallen down the stairs (knock on wood) and now she knows how to slide down safely!  Hopefully we've completely skipped the falling down the stairs stage!

Berkley is growing up SO quickly!  She has recently started saying her own name (several times), learned how to "give 5" and do "knuckles", started saying and doing pat-a-cake by herself (even without being prompted!), and doing the sign language for "please" and saying, "Thank You!" consistently!  I love seeing her learn and grow!  She's going to be such a great big sister!  She even says "baby" a lot and now pokes my belly when she says it!  How did she get to be so dang smart?!

And here I am at 27, 28, and 29 weeks!  There's not much time left until we welcome Nixon into the world!  We are so lucky and blessed to have such a great life!

Until next time...
