Easter, the Playground, the Zoo, and MORE!

Here I am...updating my blog in a timely manner...AGAIN (YAY for me!)...but I have to thank picnik.com for the push to update now.  They are closing in 2 days and I wanted to make sure I got some good collages made before then.  I also have to thank people for keeping my hubby so busy at work that he is STILL there!  OVER 11 HOURS TODAY!!!  GRRR!  At least I have the time to catch up on my blog though, I guess...

Before we get started on April I have to post one last picture from March...

...That's right!  We FINALLY put Berkley's big girl carseat in and she was SO excited!  We've had it for a couple of months but, with the move and other craziness, it took us a long time to actually put it in the car for her to use so she played in it in the house instead.  Not anymore though!

Okay, so back to April!

We spent some time at the playground!

Aaron bought 2 dozen roses for me on one of the worst days I've ever had.  It was bad but it quickly got worse.  By the end of the day I had "cooked" my dinner in the crockpot without ever plugging it in.  Needless to say, thanks to hormones, I cried (A LOT), yelled at Aaron (WAY TOO MUCH), and we ended up going to Applebee's for dinner because my chicken was still raw!  Those roses definitely were needed that day and he even bought them before I called him crying about my crockpot mishap!  Such a good hubby!!!

Aaron's sister, Dani, came to visit for a while and Jaden (her son) and Berkley were naughty together!  It was cute!  They pulled out almost all of the shoes then climbed into the shoe basket to play together!  I about died when I caught them like this!  It was way too cute!!!

Berkley has oficially fallen in LOVE...with PB&J sandwiches!  She even feeds herself without making much of a mess and she's SO cute to watch when she eats them!

Berkley likes to sit in her little recliner...and stand...which leads to...

THIS!  The little stinker stood up and tried to walk off the chair and landed on the corner of the ottoman, giving herself a little goose-egg!  It's under her hair, thankfully, but it was about 1 inch by 3 inches!  It was SO sad!!!  Of course she got over it quickly though!

Berkley's first time at an Easter Egg Hunt!  She absolutely LOVED it!  She got a ton of eggs (for her age anyways) and she enjoyed playing with them at home afterwards...dumping them out...picking them up...dumping them out...and picking them up...over and over and over again!

We got to color eggs the day before Easter and Berkley got colored too!  Thankfully grandma was able to scrub her clean before the Easter Egg Hunt at her other grandparents' house!

This is an egg I colored.  It says "The Evans Peeps 2012"..."Daddy~Mommy"..."Berkley~Nixon" on it!  Cute, huh?!

The cousins all get together each year for an Easter Egg Hunt that Aaron's parents do.  This was the first year we had a child old enough to participate!  Berkley had a blast running around and picking up eggs.  She HATED the shiny eggs and anything but the plain eggs too!  She cried and threw them out when we put them in her basket (because she wouldn't pick them up...Hello?!  There was money inside!) and continued to hate them at home!  Silly girl!  Overall, Aaron's parents did a great job organizing this fun family activity and Berkley loved it!

 Easter Morning 2012!

Berkley was super spoiled!  She finally got the Abby doll that she loves and she got lots of other fun stuff too!  She got a pretty peach dress, a cute little outfit, pink glitter TOMS, a shape sorter, pink swimming pool, Mrs. Potato Head, and CANDY!  She loved picking up the jelly beans off the floor (the Easter Bunny was messy at our house!) and when we cleaned them up she threw a HUGE tantrum!  We had to get a picture of course!  HAHA!

Aaron and I were asked to speak in our new ward on Easter and we also had a musical number with our ward choir that we were in.  It was a crazy day!  Plus we filled out police reports because of a silly situation that we witnessed in our neighborhood.  After spending time with family and close friends (who might as well be family!) we crashed on the couch for a nice, long nap!  It was a great day!

Apparently Berkley thinks her hand is star-shaped!  HAHA!  She gets her hand stuck in her shape sorter a lot and she HATES it!  The funny thing is that she keeps doing it though!

Berkley loves to wear her rings as bracelets, especially this orange one.  She's a girly girl!

On the 10th we got to go to the zoo with my mom and brothers (Garrett and Paxton) because of Utah County being on spring break!  Berkley was tired but she still had a good time!

We had Garrett and Paxton come stay with us for a couple of days during their spring break since both of my parents work and we thought we would be more entertaining...little did we know that they would be the entertainment for Berkley!  She LOVED having them with us!!!  We went to the playground, played the Wii, did some yardwork, and Berkley used Paxton as a chair!  We had a great time and Berkley cried when they left to go home!  So PRECIOUS!!!

On Saturday our new ward had an awesome activity!  It was a 5K/breakfast/Easter Egg Hunt and my mom had come up to pick up my brothers so they all stayed for the activity.  Garrett took 1st place in the 5K (with a time of 22:20), Aaron came in a little while after, and my mom and Paxton came in last (that's what happens when you go the pace of a 6-year old!) and they all did GREAT!  The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the Egg Hunt was great and very well-organized!

On Sunday morning we were getting ready for church when I saw this precious sight!  Berkley was giving kisses to a picture of me holding her when she was 1-month old!  It melted my heart!  She loves to hold and look at pictures, especially of herself!

I just LOVE and ADORE this precious little girl!

Berkley loves to wait for daddy by the door!  She runs over and says "daddy!" the whole way in hopes that Aaron will be coming.  Sadly this time was very early in the day but Aaron took a half-day at work so we got to see him not too much longer after this!  She's such a daddy's girl and I honestly LOVE it!  They are so precious together!  I'm not even jealous!

We went to the ZOO!  Twice in one week is pretty awesome!  Berkley loved pointing at the animals and hanging out with her daddy!  Check out that gorgeous TIGER!!!

After we looked at the giraffes Berkley decided to take off running!  She tried to go back to the giraffes...I think she liked them!  She is obsessed with her belly and kept lifting up her shirt and running around bare-belly!  It was hilarious!

We went on a train ride around the zoo when we were done walking around and Berkley was SO tired!!!  She crashed almost instantly once she was in the car!  We had a blast though!

This morning I caught Berkley like this.  She figured out how to open the cabinet on our entertainment center (BOO!!!) and she pulled out ALL of the Wii stuff that was in there.  She's so silly and cute!

Later this afternoon Berkley grabbed my finger and walked me over to the stairs, pulled on the gate (so I opened it), crawled up the stairs, and ran to her bedroom where she sat down, pulled out a book, and started reading!  After a while she had nearly every book pulled out and scattered across her room!  She loves to read!  It's so cute and I treasured that hour-and-a-half with her.  She would bring me a book, we would read it, then she would grab another book.  I LOVED IT!!!

After we read we came back downstairs.  She FINALLY came down the stairs by herself too!  I was SO proud!  She's never fallen down the stairs (knock on wood) and now she knows how to slide down safely!  Hopefully we've completely skipped the falling down the stairs stage!

Berkley is growing up SO quickly!  She has recently started saying her own name (several times), learned how to "give 5" and do "knuckles", started saying and doing pat-a-cake by herself (even without being prompted!), and doing the sign language for "please" and saying, "Thank You!" consistently!  I love seeing her learn and grow!  She's going to be such a great big sister!  She even says "baby" a lot and now pokes my belly when she says it!  How did she get to be so dang smart?!

And here I am at 27, 28, and 29 weeks!  There's not much time left until we welcome Nixon into the world!  We are so lucky and blessed to have such a great life!

Until next time...
